Portrait drawings of the Bell family

Portrait drawings of Bill, Brady and Spencer Bell. I was commissioned by several ladies (Lisa and Liz) to draw these drawings as a gift for Bill Bell that were giving to him at SBL Madison on May 12, 2012. The first one was a difficult one, it was one of those rare times were I did an entire background and even rarer where I did anything of landscape too. It was the first time I did that in years, but I did it and the whole thing took me almost a month to finish. I owe a huge thanks to Lisa Knox, Melody Bell and my own twin sister for encouraging me to do it, especially on how hard it was.  The second one was relatively easy, it took me about a week to finish.

Ben Johnson of 100 Monkeys/Mechanical People

This is a portrait drawing of Ben Johnson from the bands 100 Monkeys and Mechanical People. This was done as a “belated” Christmas gift for my friend, Vanessa.

This is a portrait drawing of Jake Miller, a musician, from the bands The Kissing Club and Mechanical People. This drawing is part of an auction/raffle that SBL Madison is throwing on May 12, 2012. SBL stands for The Spencer Bell legacy, an important project in its fight to find a cure for Adrenal Cancer and named after a young man who died of the disease. ‎ A portrait drawing of the band “Stevedores”, this drawing is part of the auction/raffle that SBL Madison is holding for their show(s) on May 2012. Credit for the reference photo goes to Bill Bell. Behind the Scenes: This drawing was the first one I did for SBL Madison and took over 2 months to finish. I admit I was reluctant to draw this cause the reference photo was of low quality, but Lisa Knox has mentioned that it was one of the few photos of the band with Spencer Bell in it, so I felt compelled to try and I was pretty pleased with the results.

This drawing was donated to SBL Madison, an event hosting several shows on May 12, 2012 in Madison, Wisconsin as part of their auction/raffles in support of the Spencer Bell endowment fund in its quest to finding a cure in their Adrenal Cancer research.  A portrait drawing of Ben Johnson of 100 Monkeys. This drawing was done as a birthday gift for one of my dearest friends, Vanessa Renteria. Since I know she is a huge fan of Ben Johnson & Jodie Platz’s photography, I figured this would be a perfect present for her. I seriously dislike how my scanner made the drawing look lighter in some areas and darker in others, but I know the real thing looks better than this and I hope Vanessa loves it when she gets it in the mail. A new portrait drawing of Jackson Rathbone

Here is my latest drawing of Jackson Rathbone, I actually did a drawing of this two years ago for a girl who was kind enough to get me Jackson’s autograph at a Twilight convention in Florida., but I never got a chance to take a picture of the drawing and decided to “redraw” it again and I’m pleased with the results. It took about two weeks to finish.
